August 16, 2010 – Phew… the heat wave has finally broken (for now). It has been smokin’ hot, especially this past weekend, and then last night we had some wicked storms as the cold front came in and da-da… we have cooler temperatures today. The horses appear to be much happier today too. On the hot days, we usually give them each a bath and they love that but would be much happier if the heat wasn’t that bad to start with. August 8, 2010 – This past week flew by. It went by so fast I can’t remember what happened around here that I can share with you 
. Either it is how busy the week was or it could be that I am just getting old…LOL… that could be it . But, you know me… not very often I am at a loss for words so today I will update you on the trailer, the horses, our general farm life and a new web design for a passionate horse owner.
August 1, 2010 – First… let me thank whomever ordered this awesome weather we have been having. It hasn’t been overly hot during the last few days which has allowed for outdoor activities without melting from the heat. However, the summer heat is about to return (from what the weather people are saying) so it will be back to lessons in the mornings and spending time inside with the air conditioning later in the day. July 26, 2010 – It has been one of those weeks where so much has happened and all of it has me in a great mood. From launching a new client website to new things happening around the farm and with the horses to winning an award… it’s been a week of feel good emotions (or maybe it is just the lack of sleep from yet another early horse show morning). July 19, 2010 – Howdy everyone… how’s your summer going so far? We are having a pretty good summer here at Shady Ridge. The weather was pretty darn hot again this past week and only a little bit of rain. Some places in Southern Ontario got lots of rain and some pretty wild storms but they all seem to be detouring around us. The clouds are producing some beautiful sunsets(and you know how much I love a good sunset) but we could really use some rain! We are having the type of summer that we haven’t seen in a number of years with a lot of heat and fairly dry. July 12, 2010 – First… I’m so sorry for not getting an update out last week. I’ve had a number of subscribers ask me how come I didn’t do a post last week. In truth, I just didn’t feel like it…LOL I was wiped out after spending a hot day over at Teen Ranch watching Alyssa and her new horse Aullie (they rocked it, btw ) and then coming home to laundry, grocery shopping, outside work, etc. so I just was in one of those moods where all I wanted to do was play a game on my computer while I vegged in front of the TV. So, my sincere apologies to everyone for not getting an update done. I will try not to let that happen again but I can’t promise, especially during the summer, as we always have so much on the go. June 28, 2010 - It seems that I am not keeping up to my schedule of having my blog updates done each Sunday evening. Good intentions, huh? But then life seems to get in the way and those good intentions fly right out the window. You all know how I feel this time of year… right horse people? June 22, 2010 – Summer has finally arrived but the summer weather, and summer plans, started long before the official season formally arrived. It was wonderful weather, for the most part, last week which has given the girls and horses an opportunity to get in some more in-the-saddle time. June 14, 2010 – Can you believe that the kids only have about 1 week of school left before they are off for the summer? Megan has this week of classes and then next week has her exams. After that, she will be home for 2 months… 2 months of “drive me here”, “I’m bored”, and “can my friends sleep over”.
