September 2, 2012 – I can’t believe that it has been so long since I’ve written a post on here. Life has been really busy (yup… that’s my excuse and I’m sticking to it :-)). So, this post will be a synopsis of what has been happening around our farm and in our horsey lives since I posted last. Read the rest of this entry »

February 26, 2012 – Well… it has been a pretty busy month around the farm and with business. So busy, in fact, that I haven’t had much quiet time to just sit and do nothing (or update my blog). I like being busy, I really do, but some days I would give anything to just sit and veg. I guess the days when I have nothing but time will come soon enough so I guess I should be grateful that my life is so full now. Read the rest of this entry »

DSCN2332-smOctober 8, 2011 – Wow… I can’t believe how long it has been since I have done an update on what has been happening around here. Things have been so busy it is hard to find the time to jot down what has been going on. I’ve been trying to think of some way that I can do regular updates that don’t take up too much time but alas, I can’t think of how to do it so if you have any suggestions, I am open to your thoughts. DSCN4068-smJune 16, 2011 – It’s been another busy couple of weeks around here. The weather has been “mostly” pretty darn nice (aside from a little rain and one rather intimidating storm) so a lot of time outside doing this, that and the other thing. I hope wherever you are, you are having nice weather too. Now I am just hoping that the summer doesn’t end up being too hot and we get lots of time outdoors without out frying. And don’t get me started on the bugs. They are terrible this year. Even the “not normally bothered by bugs” horses are not happy. Might have to get fly sheets for all of them. 🙂 Read the rest of this entry »

Ellie posing in the falling snowJanuary 18, 2011 – Well… the holidays are over (man they go by so fast) and winter has really set in now with regular snowfalls and bitterly cold temperatures. Time for a reality check… it’s back to our everyday normal lives. But man, it isn’t much fun doing horsey stuff when the temperatures are this cold and the horses are feeling the cold too so they are all double-blanketed right now. Read the rest of this entry »

zorroA friend of ours has a wonderful hunter horse for sale. I am simply passing on the information. If you are interested in this proven hunter, please contact the owner… contact info is below.

Zorro is a 13 year old, 15’3″, Warmblood cross who has been showing in the ‘A’ Circuit his whole life. He is a great horse that can jump 2’9/3ft, does flying lead changes and is an awesome confidence builder. Read the rest of this entry »

November 15, 2010 – Well… it suddenly dawned on me today why I am finding it so hard to do my updates on my blog lately. Not only have I just been super busy with work and finding the time to write has been difficult but everything else around here has been pretty uneventful. When you no longer have a challenging horse who keeps you “entertained”, or you aren’t shopping for a new horse, or things seem to be falling into place, writing about our daily lives just doesn’t seem to be too newsworthy. DSCN2058-sm2September12, 2010 – Sorry I missed getting a post out last week. Things have been crazy busy and I will try to fill you on everything here and yes, most of it is horse related. 🙂 First.. after close to 2 months off to recuperate from an injury in her back end, Ellie is sound again and doing great! So great, in fact, that Megan took her to the Tottenham schooling show on August 29th. Ellie was such a star. It was like this was just a regular thing for her. She was so calm and even standing around after her classes, she was calm and patient (perhaps the scorching temperatures had something to do with that). She pinned 4th over fences… what a star! August 1, 2010 – First… let me thank whomever ordered this awesome weather we have been having. It hasn’t been overly hot during the last few days which has allowed for outdoor activities without melting from the heat. However, the summer heat is about to return (from what the weather people are saying) so it will be back to lessons in the mornings and spending time inside with the air conditioning later in the day. smiles-smJuly 26, 2010 – It has been one of those weeks where so much has happened and all of it has me in a great mood. From launching a new client website to  new things happening around the  farm and with the horses to winning an award… it’s been a week of feel good emotions (or maybe it is just the lack of sleep from yet another early horse show morning). And, how can you not smile when you see kids having such a great time with their horse (Belle makes a great backscratcher :-)) Read the rest of this entry »
